NATIONAL SYMBOLS

Flag

This flag was officially unveiled in Beijing's Tiananmen Square on October 1, 1949 which was the formal announcement of the founding of the People's Republic of China. 

The color red symbolizes the spirit of the revolution and the five stars signify the unity of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.
